Untitled

This is an untitled "found poem". A found poem is when you take a book and only keep certain words and make a poem. This one is from my favorite book Shanghai Girls.

Women
Unimportant
What does it matter?
Who cares?
Illness
Sorrows, pains
War, poverty
Small, insignificant

Men
Fight battles
Perfect
Strong, brave

Women
Endure
Bear agony

Men's hearts
Fragile
Crippled
Broke
Shattered Easily bruised
Tragedies

Dolldelight

Dolldelight is a brand that Cyril Lumboy, who moved to America from the Phillipines created. She designs and makes her own lolita dresses. She's awesome! As of now, I am actually working on a picture inspired by one of her photos.

A Marvel comics dress that she made.

A gothis dress; one of my favorites!

Memoirs of a Geisha

The picture s kind of small and blurry, but this is Sayuri from Memoirs of a Geisha. I drew her last week. Right now, I am reading a book called Shanghai Girls. So maybe I will do a drawing of the two sisters, Pearl and May when I'm done. :)

Newest Inspiration

My newest inspiration is Lolita fashion. I 've been designing Lolita outfits and I found this website called lolitafashion.org with all the styles of Lolita.

Stylish Alice

This is a stylish Alice in Wonderland that I drew and then loaded it into pixlr and gave it a background that I found on photobucket. This Alice was partially inspired by Leilani Joy and partially by a youtube video that I saw.

Photography

I took this picture of a tree  while ago and I decided to edit it. I like how the tree is a shadow and the background is different colors in the blue family.

Alice and the Mad Hatress

This is a painting of Alice and The Mad Hatress that I did a couple of weeks ago. I wanted it to have really bright colors with a really simple, dull backgrond.

Amigurumi Bear

This is an amigurumi bear that I made. I used a pattern for a graduation bear http://allaboutami.tumblr.com/post/6345151773/graduationteddypattern and just made the bear part. It's pretty cute!

The 5 Elements

These are my latest works in progress. They were inspired by Leilani Joy's 5 Elements paintings: chi- earth, sui- water, ka- fire, fu- wind, and void. She used the Japanese names to name her paintings, but I will be using the English names so that I'm not stealing her work. But, I will be using the Japanese symbols!
 earth

fire

water
wind

void- I think she needs a little work. I'll probably changee the hair.

I'll post pictures of all of them when they're done!

Watercolor Face

Sorry it's sideways! For the first step, I just drew a face like I normally would, but without the shadind. I colored in the nostrils and eyebrows and eyes.

Then, I traced my drawing and just did the outlines.

I colored in the outlines and added a flower. I used light pink for light shading and red for dark shading. I also used white for the highlight on the lips and if the shaing was too dark. I also added the words "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder."

Lilies and Fashion Illustration

So I'm working on two things at the same time. One is a French girl fashion illustration and one is a picture of lilies. The lilies will be done in penciland the French girl will be done in watercolor. I'm using one of the greatest tricks ever in both of them: spraying the drawing with hairspray.

The Skeleton

This is an original poem that I wrote.

The Skeleton

I see the skeleton
Who are you skeleton?
Were you an artist, a teacher, a stay at home mom?
Are you my ancestor?
I see the skeleton.

What did you think, skeleton?
What were your opinions?
Ideas?
Emotions?
I see the skeleton.

The skeleton is behind a wooden glass case
Trapped and there for all to see
People laugh and make jokes
but you were a human.
I see the skelton
We all see the skeleton.

Leilani Joy

Leilani Joy is my favorite artist! This is just one of her paintings. I chose this one because it was the first painting of hers that I saw, it is one of my favorites, and it seems to be her favorite. I found her Youtube channel when I saw her video of a diy gift idea, then I saw all of her painting videos.

She's also on Facebook.

Poetry

So, I'm starting to really like poetry and photography. My favorite poem is "Briefly it Enters, and Briefly Speaks." I'll be posting some photography and poems here soon. Some will be mine, and some will be found on the internet.

Chiharu

I painted her a couple of weeks ago. She's supposed to be a geisha in the springtime.

Whim

It looks a lot better in person. The frame was cut out of wrapping paper. I saw the skirt and shirt in a catalog.
